EAP Counselor, United Health Group

Act as triage and in the moment support for those seeking mental health relief in an inbound call center format. Manage crisis intervention, exploration of solutions, mental healthcare options, and support for acute stress. Trained to act as designated after-hours support for Critical Incident Response (CIRS), and high-touch special accounts.

January 2016 – August 2016

Research Assistant, St. Mary’s University

Principle Investigator: Jason Northrup, PhD

Developed grant (CBR Grant: Developing a Collaborative Interdisciplinary Sexual Assault Awareness Program for Undergraduate Students) and project activities, managed project, collaborated with multiple university offices and the Rape Crisis Center of San Antonio, analyzed and reported on campus climate survey, designed collateral material, reported on grant.

October 2015 - June 2016

Graduate Assistant, Office of Academic Research & Sponsored Projects, St. Mary’s University

Assist Principle Investigator of Biobehavioral Research Administration Development (BRAD) Award in completing grant activities which aimed to grow the grants office. Aggregated relevant funding opportunities for faculty and staff, developed, increased, and maintained the grants library by securing relevant accepted grant proposals to assist faculty in grant writing, and served as a liaison for the grant activities of the grants office for faculty while the office was without a director during this time period.

Collaborative Therapy Approach: Implications for Working With Afro-Caribbean Families Coping With Infidelity http://guilfordjournals.com/doi/abs/10.1521/jsyt.2015.34.3.26

June 2015

This article illustrates the use of collaborative language systems (CLS) therapy with an Afro-Caribbean family. This manuscript uses a case study to implement the collaborative processes of (1) inner and outer talk and being public, (2) mutual puzzling, (3) appropriately unusual comments, and (4) reflecting team with a mother-daughter dyad confronting their family's infidelity issues.
